‘Words To Feel Less Alone’
The book that started The Anti-Depression Club
Encouraged by my therapist to revisit my old depression journals, I ended up reading them for the first time.
I shared parts with a friend who also had depression and was told
it helped her to feel less alone in her journey.
She saw I had been where she was - deep in the hole of depression - and saw the proof I’d made it out.
I shared them with a few more people, and now it’s a book.
The first year of my depression journey told through intimate journal entries.
Writing through denial of depression, starting medication & therapy, coming out of the closet, then a near miss & the start of recovery.
